Amoisonic Electronics Selects Microsemi Class-D Amplifiers For Power-on Board DVD Player

One of the China's Largest DVD Manufacturer Using 6-Channels, 30W(RMS) AudioMax® Solution

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 22, 2002--Microsemi Corporation (Nasdaq: MSCC), a leading manufacturer of analog and mixed signal integrated circuits, today announced that its patented AudioMAX® Class-D audio amplifier technology has been selected by Amoisonic Electronics Co. Ltd., one of the China's largest DVD manufacturer, for its new line of power-on-board DVD players which add 5.1 surround sound to traditional DVD functions..

Microsemi's broad offering of AudioMAX Class-D amplifier products provide full power audiophile performance with an efficiency that eliminates damaging heat in space-constrained designs like next- generation home theater DVD players and automotive entertainment systems. The Amoisonic DVD player designs call for 6-channel, 30W amplifier solutions.
